LIFT exists to assist parents of homeschool students 12 years of age (as of September 1 of the current school year) through students 18 years of age (not to turn 19 during the current school year) in areas they may not feel fully confident to teach. The program is not meant to usurp the GOD-given responsibility of the parents to educate their own children, nor to replace home instruction in the required academic areas. Parents are expected to use the courses to support their own daily curriculum, instilling in their children good study habits and sound educational principles. Students are expected to use this opportunity to practice respect for authority, responsibility in completing and turning in assignments on time, Christ-like character, and moral integrity.
